Am I the only one who sometimes finds the penalty for bouncing to be incorrect or unfair, even when it seems no bounce actually occurred? Yesterday, I got hit with a triple penalty, yet I hadn’t noticed any bouncing.
Conversely, there have been a few times when I actually bounced, but the system neither detected it nor penalized me.
I usualy fly the 77W from PMDG, so my concern with this one, not sure about planes, but probably similar.
However, “errored” bounce detetion and penalty could come from bumpy runways lacking flatness ?
In this specific instance, I was in the cockpit view, and I am almost certain the plane didn’t bounce: SimFly | Fly and Earn
Makes me chuckle… Me (and others who are long gone mostly) were fighting to change original which was
1 bump -50%
2 bumps and more 0% income…
Yes. I had many no income flights with GA planes. Not saying it should not be penalized as it happens in real life and what is really important for landing is engergy (G) not -fpm or bumps.
Well. I am now more concerned about penalization for softer landing for small planes than bumps.

→ No, you are not. I notice there are often false bounce detected many times. When bounce occurred, I will replay and check the landing, the moment the wheel touch down and what happened next. Runway slope could contribute bounce too, depending on the momentum and spot the main gears touch down, also main gears ripple can “often” cause bouncing, even the wheels are not float at all. If you can perform a replay, you will see it clearly to recheck bouncing.

→ Try to perform a replay if possible.
Is it possible to discuss/share about bounce detection in SimFly again? Can the bounce sensitivity be reevaluated? I would like to propose bouncing penalty as follows in stead:
Option 1:
1st bounce → No penalty (to compensate false detection)
2nd bounce → -20 or 25 points
3rd and so on → -30, -40
Option 2:
1st bounce → -5 points
2nd bounce → -10 points
3rd and so on → -30, -40

initiative is correct for GA planes (mainly T1-T2-T3 but with focus on T1-T2 - as they tend to have bouncy arrivals from time to time. Those (1-2) should not be penalized unless its multi-bounce 3-and more times because then clearly pilot hardly flies the aircraft (it is fair to say aircraft flies him).
When it comes to other categories - bounce is never pleasant for passengers but it do happens (especially if windy) and i tend to agree that % penalty should be lowered down
5% > 10% > 15% > (…) instead of flat 10% each seems to be fine. All in all its not end of the world.
I would like to emphasize more painful illogical things such as “soft landing penalty”
now it is gradually punish pilot below 80 (80 is weird number anyway as it is already soft for big plane anyway (in connection with Low G 1,00-1,05)
it should rather be 80-50 (0% penalty)
50-30 - 10% penalty ; 30 - 0 - 20% penalty
(excluding GA planes category 1/2)
and finally most ridiculous yet not breaking rules - hanging with helicopter for 13 minutes over the runway. That is not a flight (in fact technically it could be… for some…).
