Callsign SIMFLY Ivao/Vatsim

Hi everyone,

I wanted to make this suggestion to the administrators and fellow pilots. Since I occasionally fly on IVAO/VATSIM, as do others, why not take advantage of this? For those like me who are no longer members of any VA, the use of a callsign is purely coincidental and invented. So why not fly with a callsign like SIMFLY-001? You could also use the Simfly livery you already own; just send it to MTL, and all IVAO/VATSIM pilots could see our aircraft parked at airports around the world. This would be completely free advertising for Simfly and specifically aimed at a target audience of very active pilots. What do you think?

When you fly on IVAO and VATSIM, I believe you are required to use real world ICAO call signs. You can’t just make them up.

No, if you’re not part of any VA you can use a callsign invented by you, I do it regularly and no one has ever told me anything…

In any case, by creating a SIMFly VA there would still be no problems using a simfly callsign and therefore seeing the liveries of our planes, they are just suggestions, on how to do it technically I believe that simfly administrators know better than me

I fly only IVAO :smiley: I have never used Vatsim

You can use any callsign you want, real life or not in online networks. You just need to follow rules about “wording” and that`s all, what should be a common sense btw.

Time to move to a more professional/realistic network then.

I have been using //SIMFLY on 18. Other Information segment on the FPL on all IVAO ops. There is no issue using it this way.
