Mission Aborted

I am having a nightmare with this

Karim has been helping but we are getting nowhere. Has any one encountered this on a reguilar basis? new msfs2020 install. new client, new linker, empty marketplace, empty community folder. I can no longer fly the 172 but occasionally can fly the TBM930. I have changed joystick and cannot think of anything else to try.

Hello,

yes, this is quite a strange situation. Let’s also see if the community can help us better understand it, because at the moment this appears to be an isolated case and we are not seeing similar behavior from other users.

After reviewing your recent flights, we identified several sudden and inconsistent movements within the airport area. Below you can find some of the affected Flight Reports. By opening the Flight Report, scrolling down to the information section, and clicking “Click to view details”, you can open the detailed map. If you zoom in, you will notice some instantaneous movements that the system interprets as impossible movements.

These are only a few examples.

You have already confirmed that you are not intentionally performing these sudden movements after clicking “Start Flight”, so we would like to understand whether the issue may be caused by some external element.

To help us with the investigation, could you please let us know:

When did you first start experiencing this issue?

Have you recently installed any third-party plugins, addons, or tools that could unintentionally interfere with the simulator or with position tracking?

In the meantime, we will also check whether other users in the community have experienced the same behavior and whether anyone managed to solve it by removing or disabling any third-party plugin/addon.

Thank you for your cooperation.

A couple of questions:

  1. Was the aircraft in the expected spot after the abort, or somewhere unrelated?
  2. Do you have active pause bound to any keys or joystick buttons?

Long shots - unlikely to make a difference but just to eliminate potential culprits:

  • Disable background AV scan
  • Disable Windows Update prep
  • Disable OneDrive sync
  • Disable Set Time Automatically in Date and Time settings

Thanks Karim, as per the email I sent you, I have no add ons in Marketplace or Community folder. Clean install of everything. It started before the latest SimFly upgrade on an intermittent basis( then the cancell notice was just that I had accessed the main menu, now the cancell notice is “the anomaly”) and since the latest SimFly client it has progressivly got worse.

Thanks Kyndra, It happens during taxi and sometimes I have cheated and taken off on the taxiway and it then comes on during flight. I tried timing it from “Start Flightmode” but it was inconsistant. The aircraft does not move or deviate from its location when this happens.

I do not believe I have active pause bound and I tried an old joystick yesterday with no difference.

Following advise from a friend, I deleted all controller mappings from msfs2020. I then deleted all Logitec programs and registry files using “Complete Uninstall” This appears, at this stage, of rectifying the problem. I thank you for your help and I will slowly re-install add ons etc.
