Nubie Timer Limitation question

Brand new to SimFly and conducted a flight under the Test Pilot tab.

Upon completion I reveived EX points, but no Pax due to ‘Timers limitations’?

I did a quick search in the Forums for an answer, but didn’t run across an answer.

Could someone kindly explain the timer limitations thing?

The earnings from license are limited by timers, one per 24h, and one per 1/2 week (or 84h)

You’ll find a lot of answers to this kind of questions by reading the wiki : https://simfly.wiki/

With a cadet license, it’s 90minutes/24h & 180min/84h
if you upgrade, the timer increase, and the earning increase :
Student : 120/24h & 240/84h
private : 150/24h & 300/84h

Until you buy your 1st license, (what I higly recommend to earn PAX, to acces unrestricted or rental missions), you are not yet really concerned.
But probably the free mode also consider some timers limit that explain why you got 0.00 pax on your 2 last flights.

Have a look to lots of flight reports from different players, you’ll see and get some clues how to earn more in Simfly.

Welcome aboard @Coastiejeff - you’ve discovered the best kept secret in flight simulation.

Can you send us a link to your mission report (the URL of the page you were at when you took the screenshot). That will help us to analyze your flight and let you know what’s up.

If my reading of the Wiki is correct, you should be able to earn limited PAX even with no license and the test pilot mission - about 30% of what you could expect given the same flight distance with a Cadet pilot license in the Unrestricted flight mission.

Welcome again - we’ll wait to hear back from you.

Kyndra,
He “wasted” his 1st flight with “fast forward”, using the timer (20min/30) but then giving 0 pax.

then he had very little timer remaining so he got 0.01, and 0.03pax on next very short flights,
finaly free mode timer was over and so he got 0pax on latest flights.

@Coastiejeff

If you’re trying to gauge how much standard players earn per flight, the TL;DR is that it is not uncommon for pilots to earn anywhere from 2-12 PAX per flight. Payouts work very differently than the test pilot mission.

Here’s the issue with your mission - why you earned zero PAX:

This means the system detected you used time acceleration (2X, 4X, etc.) within the simulator at some point during your initial flight. Time acceleration is not allowed so it invalidated the flight (no earnings allowed) but still consumed your license’s pool of minutes.

This resulted in your paying license minutes being consumed because of this penalty and subsequent flights didn’t pay because the license was essentially depleted.

When your license replenishes, try another flight - no time acceleration in the sim and you should start to see PAX earnings. Do keep in mind that the test pilot mission only pays a small fraction of what pilots earn with standard (or junior) licenses. Here’s the aircraft rental mission I just completed - the flight took 2 hours 40 minutes.

A great way to judge realistic earnings would be to look at the flight logs from random people. Every flight log from every player is readily available for viewing.

If you need tips, just ask.

Good luck.
