Hi all. Not sure if my doubt is located anywhere.
Do you know where I can find the price in PAX to upgrade any asset?
I am thinking about the cost and investment in upgrading. Above all licenses, but also airplanes and airports. Could be interesting having a table with published rates.
Thank you!

Fees and rates are not yet published as we are still checking the correct amount to keep all balanced. Can ask around tho (so you did well by posting here) how much other paid. Maybe between many users comes out the current costs for upgrades. We, tho, cannot officially confirm a specific amount (would also be a large table as it depends on several factors for airplanes and airports), but a good discussion here can help shape a nice view of current costs
I have been charting some, what are you interested in finding out?
Your license going from student pilot to private pilot will cost you ~60.85 pax at around 11300 total xp.
As for the Cessna, no idea. Haven’t leveled a cat 1 yet, but it’ll be super cheap. The cat 3 lvl 1 to 2 was 8.12
If you have also the dates of when you have done those upgrades we can see if there is a price change. WTF the license o_O Damn! We should also collect the difference in timers, rotations, and ground works level by level. Oh, also how many XP were needed!
I do, I can search it on PAX wallet. Remember I report this issue on this page because I wanted to get that info.

this is what we are discovering as a collective work
So, the idea is that rates to upgrade assets are not fix and will be multi-factor dependant. Also fluctuating taking into account several factors. Ok.
But could be interesting for me understand what is that calculation and which factors and an approximate cost for each (general) upgrade. If I have to build in my head how much cost me arriving to Senior Captain, this formula demonstrates me the rate of income with that invested PAX. May be is much more interesting now having 3 licenses that just one. But, on the other hand, number of assets is something that I believe we have to regulate… a maximum.
Thanks.

It is part of the strategy… You don’t go to a treasure hunt knowing where the treasure is lol… and - just to clarify - I myself have no idea.
Hi,
the costs in PAX Tokens and XP required to upgrade assets may vary over time and will be dynamic, based on the circulation of PAX within the system. We don’t expect drastic changes, but rather gradual and minor fluctuations—either increases or decreases—depending on the number of active users and the overall flow of PAX.
At this stage, we can’t provide a definitive value or guarantee that any cost will remain fixed for a certain period. For this reason, publishing a static table now could lead to confusion.
We are instead considering the introduction of dynamic tables that will display real-time, up-to-date values.

Understood. Makes sense.
What I can’t understand is why I’m not allowed to purchase a license using PAX that I’ve earned, and instead I’m forced to spend $79. EVERYTHING I’ve bought so far—EVERYTHING—has been paid with real money. Now that I’m finally able to make my first purchase in the internal marketplace (using the currency specifically meant for this purpose), after all the effort it took to earn it, I feel powerless.
It feels unfair to me, especially as someone who is part of this community like others who have already enjoyed this benefit. But I have to pay in dollars for everything others have already bought and swept from the market. It’s not fair, and I don’t feel respected in terms of equal opportunities.
If the goal is to rationalize resources, then you should be putting more limits on those who already own many assets, and allow at least a minimum of free circulation of transactions using PAX. Otherwise, you’ll see that people will start to lose motivation. Right now, this situation is deeply upsetting for me, and I feel completely disadvantaged.
Just a humble piece of advice.

I am also looking for an answer to this question. We can purchase an airplane/ airport with pax, we can even pay a certain amount with PAX and the rest can be payd by card which is fantastic, or we have the option to pay the hall amount with PAX if available, and yet we cannot buy a pilots licence with our hard well earned PAX. Why?

surely he did it because in case a user has earned many pax he could easily buy more licenses… SIMFLY maybe does not like that one can easily buy more licenses who knows why? so he forced us to buy the licenses in US dollars.
By the way SYMFLY when will you apply the 50% discount on licenses again?
Yes, but in this case, limit that ones that currently have 5, 7, 8 or 10 licenses. And many of them with enough room to get a lot of usage. Why SF allowed this? Now I have to pay for them. This is not fair.
Rules may exist to regulate and to allow equal coexistance. In that way, a proposal:
- Fix the rule "pay for license’ after some licenses.
- Allow users with less licenses to get them with PAX until that limit.
- Increase the rate in $ exponentially for them that exceed a threshold. Otherwise, this is abusive (having >10 licenses)
That could be something to generate more user circulation and respect for them that are willing to join.
It actually has been a limitation asked by the community. Some users were hoarding licenses (I still not sure why, maybe to resell them in the user marketplace after buying them at a discount in PAX?). Community was upset (again why?) because some users had a lot of licenses, more than made sense to just keep flying 24h/day lol. For us was an issue as license is something new users need to start flying properly, and once we put a bit of stock with a discount while doing marketing, the stock went to zero and new users were left without licenses.
How it works now: the first regular license CAN be purchased in PAX. So if a user has no licenses or has only the junior license (which has a lot of limitations, including the fact that cannot be re-sold), they can buy the first regular license with PAX.
To avoid hoarding of licenses, we have made it so PAX cannot be used to buy licenses from the second onward… Consider that once the user marketplace is ready, farming licenses makes sense: I get a new license at X and I resell at X+Y as I use it and sell it already a higher grade to new users that want to take a shortcut and start earning more and fly with better timers. We need to see why people buy many licenses and how many makes sense (I see as ingle license may limit how much in a day one can fly, so two may be ok… 3? 4?)
And for what did happen in the past, we cannot change the past! After all any user that has made a purchase before the user marketplace is released, has been supporting SimFly, so kudos to you all
More we go ahead, more restrictive things will be, and after the user marketplace opens, the veteran users will have good time
but excuse me Roberto but whoever bought 10 planes is it normal that he has 10 licenses or rather 11 licenses to use them all continuously otherwise how would he do with only one or 2 licenses?

while there is no hard link between airplane and license, as in with a single license you can use any airplane, it is also true that timers will get consumed flying one, and thus another license is needed to fly the second one…
