I really love this platform and I’ve had some great times on it. But for the past few weeks, I’ve been asking myself a lot of questions about its future, and I’m wondering if I’m the only one.
Here’s what I’ve been noticing lately:
Fewer and fewer players seem to be flying.
Several big players appear to be trying to sell off a large part of their assets, sometimes at very low prices and they haven’t used the platform for months.
Sales between players are becoming increasingly difficult, even when offering very attractive prices.
We’re barely seeing any new players arriving to refresh the community.
No new content has been released recently. We were promised a video “last week”… and we’re still waiting.
The “Milestone Flight” missions seem quite uninteresting and lack real challenge (nothing comparable to Paro Landing for example).
Communication has been very quiet: the last official update dates back to February 20, 2026.
The economic regulation issue between PAX and USD still seems to be present.
The Premium subscription unfortunately offers very little added value at the moment: even with airports at 60% split, the areas often remain very sparsely populated.
I’m sincerely wondering if all these signals point to the platform slowing down.
Is it just a temporary rough patch? Is the team working on something big in silence? Or could this be a sign of a deeper decline?
Personally, I’m starting to wonder whether I should slow down my investments or sell some assets at a loss, just to be safe… but I really don’t want to stop if the platform still has great prospects ahead.
I’d really appreciate your honest opinions.
Do you feel the same way? Are some of you still investing with confidence? Or are you also starting to have doubts?
I’m posting this with kindness, because I truly appreciate Simfly and I sincerely hope the adventure continues.
Thanks in advance for your feedback — it will help me see things more clearly
Dear epsylon82,
you described exactly the feeling i’m having towards Simfly. I like the project and the platform so much, but this silence and the absence of new missions and content discourages me to invest much time. A lot of people flies less and this starts a chain reaction where the people are less encouraged to fly and visit airports of other users, discouraging more and more users.
I continue to fly regularly with the hope to having good news soon.
Thank you for giving voice to the thoughts of many of us.
Same here, I really love SimFly and for me it’s a real improvement in the world of simulation games, creating a challenge. However, the direction they’re taking goes against an economy that would allow all players to benefit from the platform.
The fact that only premium players can share their earnings up to 60% is absurd. Similarly, we see that many lower-category airports are for sale… Why? Because they don’t represent anything interesting, and all the players generally focus on the same airports.
Finally, you should give players more updates, because right now, it’s been meager. I really enjoyed the platform, but with so much uncertainty and not understanding SimFly’s true direction, I’m forced to distance myself. It’s a real shame, because the idea behind SimFly is simply excellent and brings something different to the table. I am giving this feedback with goodwill towards the developers; not much is missing except perhaps communication and more players. Best regards.
I might be the lonely weirdo here, but my habit of using a flight simulator hasn’t changed much. Except for some initial asset buying and a couple of sales.. I keep on using my flight simulator not depending on simfly Except for using the client at the same time I use other clients, such as my VA where we fly as a group or has its own mission, I also flyed with Fseconomy at the same time with simfly client on, bringing back an airplane from Antarctic to north Dakota..
I mean I just use the client no matter what I do with the simulator.. its just a little time to choose a departure and if you want an arrival.. don’t even need to.move your plane or license.. Just fly..
I invested a certain amount of money in simfly… because I found a lot of novelty.
- The little inter-simulator multiplayer side (msfs, xplane, p3D) where you can visit airports belonging to players in exchange for a virtual salary.
- I also loved having the opportunity to have planes, airports.
- The ability to upgrade each asset to make them more efficient…
- I discovered these little extra things that virtual companies didn’t bring.
- And when the possibility of a pseudo return to see the light of day with the marketplace user. It was the Holy Grail. It was the plan of the century.
I was probably very stupid to believe in it and to put so much money into it. But Simfly was the extra thing and the developers deserved the support of a community to move this project forward innovative.
If it’s to fly with 5 ACARS to have fun. I prefer to end up on my previous virtual airline and on OnAir Company.
This is just my opinion and not a truth for everyone.
You don’t need 5 Acars, just your prefered one that gives you objectives , and simfly.. Just two.. you can even decide to fly one week with one (and simfly), the other week with a different one..
That sounds too difficult? At least with another acars you have a “real” task, and having simfly on, just gives you those worthy pax in order to get back something..
For an alternative view - I’m having the time of my life with SimFly.
Could the communication be better, YES.
Do I miss the weekly update videos, YES.
Are there tons of things I would love to see improved, YES.
Is this more fun than with any previous flight simming career mode / virtual economy I have ever tried (and I have tried many of the ones mentioned above), YES!
Thank you for sharing your point of view — we truly appreciate it.
We would like to reassure you about one important point: even if it may not always be visible from the outside, we are constantly working behind the scenes to improve the platform, increase stability, and reduce technical issues as much as possible. It is an ongoing process that takes time, but it remains one of our highest priorities.
Regarding user activity, it is completely normal to experience periods of growth as well as phases of decline. This happens on any platform, especially during times of updates, optimizations, or structural changes like the ones we are currently going through.
Our goal is not simply to grow, but to grow in a solid and sustainable way, building a strong foundation both technically and in terms of user experience. For this reason, we are investing significant effort into internal improvements that may not always be immediately visible, but that will bring concrete benefits over the medium term.
We truly value the patience and support of our community — it means a great deal to us.
We will continue to keep everyone updated with the utmost transparency.
SIMFLY has a lot of potential, but the landing scoring system is currently too punishing compared to other ACARS platforms. Not everyone is a professional pilot, and many users can complete an entire flight perfectly, only to be heavily penalized for a single landing.
A bit more balance or flexibility would make a huge difference in user retention and overall experience.
Looking forward to the roadmap and hoping to see improvements in this area.
Nothing more then agree. I ve also made that request in topics butt i did nt get any response from Simfly team.
BUTT There is no ROOM of doubts on this platform, if it were we would nt be here. Somes change or decisions can be unpleasant for user(US). I do understand how much time it requires for getting informations and recording videos and editing and all the staff. butt if the cost of that time achieve more confidence of community and goals i think it is worth it,
KEEP FLY SIMFLY
Perhaps, but -186fpm stay -186fpm and not -250fpm. I’ll try to intercept the real information sent back by the simulator. With xPlane’s development mode, it should be possible. It is still quite simple to add a multiplier coefficient so as not to reflect reality. That’s why I don’t do long flights (+2h30).
After all, it’s not a criticism, it’s just an observation. After that, there are so many ways to burn PAX (airport maintenance, aircraft maintenance…). The goal is for everything to be economically fair, I don’t use simfly to become a billionaire (it would be cool if it was possible )
i suppose that we need to look at one reference only, can’t be comparing from many sources. It’s essential to have just one basis, and stick to that one. If you search on the internet , and on the messages I have already written in an other discussion, here there are many factors on why there are a lot of differences between ACARS in flight simulation. In my opinion I would prefer a G-Force reference instead of a fpm value. About MSFS2020 I see not much differences. I also have a third party widget installed and is pretty much similar rates.
