Hi All
I started with 60mins for the 24 rule timer and 120mins for the 84 rule timer
i flew for about 40 something mins and now both timers have been reduced by this
after 24hours i flew another 40 something mins and again both timers have been reduced.
The part im confused is that now another 24 hors have gone by i have 60mins in 24 timer and 18mins left in 84 timer. Does this mean i get full xp again for the first 60mins and 20% for 18mins over the hour or does it mean that i will only get 18nins at 20% xp for the whole flight if i flew again
Hope this makes sense as it seem i have another hour of flying again
Right now you will only get credit for the 18 mins on the 84 hour timer. Essentially, if either timer reaches 0, you stop earning. You’ll get full time back when the 84 hour timer resets. Make sure you don’t burn the 24 hour timer within the last 24 hours of the 84 hour timer, or you will have to wait for the 24 hour timer to reset. I know that last part sounds complicated, but trust me, mess it up a couple of times and you’ll learn quickly.

I just came here to ask a similiar clarification. The wiki isn’t clear that if one timer runs out you stop earning. Maybe adding a 3rd example in that article detailing that would help with some confusion.
Cheers!

I am with you guys. No human has ever created a more confusing thing that SimFly license timers. I am lobbying to make that mess either very clear, or much easier. Actually I know @Karim-CTO-SimFly had a new UI implemented that makes timers much easier to understand, maybe the implementation is still in queue with things to be implemented.

I should clarify, if either timer reaches 0 you stop earning Pax. You continue to earn xp at the reduced rate that your license level dictates (cadet 20%, student 30% etc). It’s not a total waste of time, especially when you get to higher levels where you’re getting 50% and you’re getting earnings from a plane or airports. You’d only be out license earnings.

This was what I was confused about, but figured what was happening. I think the current wiki page explains the 24/84 rule fine, if this was just highlighted (Either Timer), or another example showing one timer being expired causing the reduced XP.
Cheers!
