Hello,
I’m flying PMDG 777 and 738 on most of my flights.
When I look at the records afterwards I see that some items are not recognized or failed.
Seat belts, spoliers armed, gear are “N/A”, so not recognized.
I always receive a bank angle penalty although I do not exceed the bank angle. Same for the taxi lights.
I’m using FSFO (Flight Simulator First Officer) which uses normal procedures.
Can I do something about this ?
Using MSFS2020.
Thanks.
As I see from your logs, you “just” had 2 out of 7 bank angles penalties. May I ask if you use AUTO bank angle MODE on autopilot, or you have selected for example manual 20 or 25, just to see if the bank angle remains within the limits? maybe there could be a wrong data reading between client and airplane. Or you do your after take off turn manually without engaging autopilot? The penalties were on take off only and not during approach.
As for example, when I use GA airplane that have both YD and bank buttons to activate, I need to activate them both on, if I just activate YD, it’s not sufficent and I get the penalty as for some reason the turn results too steep for the client. You can try and make some tests, selecting BANK turn of 15 and see if you get the penalty. and move on choosing 20, and see what happens.
As for the lights, do you manually turn the taxi lights ON? some systems have AUTO lights features. I usually turn them ON at parking and turn them off when on runway. I suppose you do the same. I have noticed that on some airports, taxi way are too close to runway, system doesn’t always cathes the exact spot when turning lights on and off.
Thanks for the reply.
As for bank angle: always on AUTO, YD engaged.
For the taxi lights: turned on after taxi checklist, turned off on runway before takeoff, back on after leaving the runway after landing and turned off when turning into the gate (as in real life).
Seat belts aren’t picked up either.
Regards.
in order to check if client is getting the right info from the plane, try to manually choose an angle, example 15 (don’t know AUTO what it coorisponds to, I doubt more than 25/30 but don’t know) , engage AP right after take off while still straight flying, and see what happens.
for the lights, try to turn taxi lights ON after landing while still on runway as soon you stop, before entering a taxi way. I usually , while still on runway after a stop or almost stop, turn off landing and Strobe, and turn on taxi, and shut them off when hold on parking area just right before shutting down engines.
