C182 Skylane requesting on SimFly

Guys, 1th of all, merry Xmas for all.

Why the Cessna 182 Skylane is a strong new aircraft choice for SimFly.io ?

The Cessna 182 Skylane is one of the most iconic and versatile general aviation aircraft ever built, combining reliability, performance, and broad operational flexibility. With nearly seven decades of continuous evolution, it offers proven flight characteristics, solid cruise speed, long range, and excellent payload for a four-seat single-engine aircraft. Its stable handling, high-wing design, and tricycle landing gear make it ideal for both training and real-world-style operations, while advanced variants add turbocharging, retractable gear, and modern avionics. Widely used by civil, government, and military operators worldwide, the 182 is a true “do-everything” aircraft—perfect for SimFly pilots seeking realism, mission variety, and long-term value as a new plane in the fleet.

The Cessna 182 Skylane has solid third-party support across modern simulators, with important differences by platform. On Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the aircraft is already available through a native Carenado release (C182Q), offering a modern, fully compatible experience suitable for general aviation flying, training, and missions.

On X-Plane 11, Carenado officially released the CT182T Skylane G1000, a high-quality payware aircraft featuring detailed modeling, custom sounds, and G1000-style avionics, fully optimized for XP11. This version remains popular among X-Plane users and represents the most complete commercial Cessna 182 currently available in the X-Plane ecosystem.

For X-Plane 12, however, there is no native or officially updated Carenado Cessna 182 at this time. While the XP11 CT182T can sometimes be made to run in XP12, it is not officially supported and may present limitations in systems, flight model accuracy, and visual compatibility.
