So brand new here and trying to understand. My XP worked pretty clearly, especially since there is a section on the flight report showing exactly how it is calculated. PAX on the other hand shows nothing. I flew a 1500nm flight and earned 0.12 PAX. Is this really how little we get for flying? I thought PAX and XP were earned similarly, determined by timers etc. I noticed in the Wiki while the examples show how much XP is earned in PAX it just says “PAX earned” but I only noticed there was no value upon review. I get they may be trying to get people to spend actual money on things and we can all decide. But I see you can but a license for 79 PAX. The Junior license is real money only. I’d need 659 flights to earn that if the amount I got here was typical. That just seem unreasonable.
Anyhow, I cannot find anything anywhere on how you actually “earn” PAX (like how much you get for what activity). Hoping someone can give me some good info.

Hi and welcome to SimFly!
In the PAX / XP Rewards section of your Flight Report — as well as in the detailed pages of any assets, whether yours or those of other users — you can see exactly how both PAX Tokens and XP are generated.
In your case, you earned 0.12 PAX for a 1,500 NM flight because you were flying a Test Pilot mission without holding a Junior License (which also allows Airplane Rental missions) or a Standard License (which enables both Airplane Rental and Unrestricted Flight missions). These licenses generate more PAX compared to Test Pilot missions without a license.
- The Junior License can be purchased only in USD.
- The Standard License can be purchased in either PAX Tokens or USD (or a combination of both).
If you don’t want to complete hundreds of Test Pilot flights to obtain a Standard License, you can:
- Opt for the Junior License (USD 9.90), which allows you to earn more PAX and later upgrade it with PAX Tokens to make it even more productive in both PAX and timer efficiency.
- Or opt for a Standard License (if available), which offers more benefits compared to the Junior License, while maintaining the same PAX earnings.
- Or wait for the User Marketplace to open, where you’ll be able to purchase PAX Tokens or licenses directly from other players, paying in USD.
How are PAX earned?
There’s no fixed value per activity because many variables are involved, including:
- Type of mission being flown
- Pilot license type and current rank.
- Remaining minutes in the 24h and 84h timers.
- Distance flown (nautical miles)
- Using your own aircraft, a SimFly aircraft, or another player’s aircraft (Airplane Rental).
- Aircraft category and level, and any revenue split set by the owner.
- Takeoff or landing (or both) at your own airport, a SimFly airport, or another player’s airport with a possible revenue split.
- First-visit bonus at an airport.
- Milestones or events applying percentage bonuses to PAX and XP.
- Flight analyzer score (/100) and Landing Rate performance.
It also depends on the strategies a user decides to apply, so there’s no exact rule we can give you for how many PAX Tokens are earned for each activity.
All these factors, plus small periodic formula adjustments, make it impossible to publish a fixed “per activity” value.
That said, it may seem complex at first, but with some practice — and by looking at other players’ flights and assets (where earnings are visible) — you can get a clearer picture of how to optimize your PAX production.
We’re always working to make the system even more transparent and easier to understand.
I hope this answers all the points you raised. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have more questions — we’re here to help!

A useful tip: On SimFly, from the map or directly from SkyRanking, you can check users who are flying with a Junior License or Standard License and click on their username or directly on the license they are using. You will then review their logbook and recorded flights. On the detailed page of their asset (for example, the flight license), you will find all completed flights, the missions flown, the full Flight Reports, the PAX and XP earnings, and the rank they held at the time of each flight. This will give you a first idea of the potential PAX Token earnings, even with just a flight license. Of course, you can do the same with all other assets, such as aircraft and airports. All of this data is publicly visible and fully transparent.
