What a day for Birmingham-Shuttlesworth!
Since acquiring KBHM back on February 22nd, this Category 4 airport has come a long way, and today it officially hit Level 3, becoming only the second airport CAT4 in all of America to reach that milestone.
First and most importantly: thank you to every single pilot who flew this airport. You made this happen.
And here’s a milestone that landed perfectly on the same day: as of today, KBHM has fully paid for itself, completely recovering its original acquisition cost.
To keep the momentum going, an additional 245 PAX was invested to push KBHM from Level 1 all the way to Level 3. which means a better payrate for everyone who flies here. We will always upgrade the airport when available.
And the best part? KBHM is still paying 60% pax to pilots: exactly the same rate as opening day. No catches, no cuts.
The runway is waiting. Come fly to Birmingham. !
