a leased plane should then be brought back from the airport where it was leased…it happens to me that when someone takes my leased plane I then have to bring it back to my home with the MOVE option which is currently free but if it becomes a paid option the costs of returning the plane to my base should fall on the one who leased it. what do you think? is what I’m telling you right?
Another step to progress to a more realistic behaviour. I agree.
It depends on the costs, if what should I pay for the returning fee is more than I gain from the % given by owner, why should I rent your airplane?
I rented a cirrus22 and got only 0,06 pax for a 227 nm flight, what should I pay to bring it back? 0,01 ![]()
Yes. We have to create the rule to get some extra benefit. If not, does not make sense.
Benefit has to be on both sides. Also remember that as soon the aircraft lands, its blocked on ground for a certain period of time.
I know for certain that, when there will be bills to pay, maybe owners will think twice to give out the maximum bonus to others. Now everybody or the most, gives out the max %, but if they (we) have to pay something such as moving back the airplane, perhaps instead of giving the 60%, its better to give 40%.
when a user leases my plane I don’t know how long he wants to keep it on lease…I don’t know if that user has special needs and so at the moment I use the 3 day rule after the user has taken my plane and arrives at his preferred destination, I give him 3 days to decide what to do whether to continue to lease my plane or abandon the lease…what do you at SIMFLY advise me to do? Do I leave the plane to him for an indefinite period or do I give him a deadline?
of course if the user keeps my plane stationary for more than three days in one place I am forced to bring it back to my airport and terminate the rental…so if there is another user who wants to rent it he can rent it without any worries
3Days? And what about the people who only can fly on weekend??
I’m talking about 3 days I stop you at a point not 3 days of normal activity that if someone is flying on the weekend and is in flight activity I don’t take him back but if I stop him for a long time for more than 3 working days excluding Saturdays and Sundays I’ll take my plane back afterwards.
I never used the same plane I rented. Usually I don’t have tours that follow a trip from A to B, then B to C and so on. Why should I want to rent the same plane waiting also the stop maintenance time? And we are talking when there will be transfer fees, not still activated. When there will be fees, if someone moved my aircraft to someplace, and I need it somewhere else, I will just fly that plane myself if I don’t want to pay a fee. Either way we don’t even know how much wiil be tye coast. So why worry now?
The rental by the way, is ONLY, for the flight time, not for days. Other thing is an eventual agreement between owner and user. That could be discussed between them.
if you go to any airport I’ll give you an example LIBD there is information on the airport but there is no window or instant messaging or chat box where the pilot and owner make agreements or sign contracts or anything else and it is one of the things that was asked of SIMFLY and does not exist at the moment…so since there are no agreements between the pilot and the owner I am forced to implement the 3 day rule.
working on extending the forum chat also to the web app, but still have issues… soon there is the possibility to open the chat also in the web app. Here in the forum it is already possible to direct chat with someone.
