New airport to be added

Hello Simfly Team, your map is missing an airport that I would like to be added… the airport in question is recently built and is located in West Papua, Indonesia. The airport is called Siboru Airport, IATA:FKU, ICAO:WASF (Siboru Airport - Wikipedia on your map you can only see the drawing but the airport is not there.

I forgot. The old Torea Airport / Fakfak Airport used:

ICAO: WASF
IATA: FKQ
Runway 10/28, approximately 1,200 m.

This airport was closed when the new Siboru Airport entered service on January 25, 2024. The ICAO code WASF is basically for SIBORU - you need to change it on the map.

General rule, before changing anything is to consider what the simulators have by default. Since not even them, the simulators have a clear idea or are updated ONLY if you are member and need to pay for example a simbrief account.

WASF (Fakfak Airport / Siboru Airport) in Microsoft Flight Simulator suffers from a real-world versus simulator data mismatch.

The real-world facility transitioned from the old Torea Airport (Runway 10/28) to the new Siboru Airport (Runway 15/33 with an RNAV approach), but default MSFS data often retains the older layout or conflicts with current AIRAC cycle updates like Navigraph.

In other words, if you use msfs2020, and choose WASF, you end up in the same simfly airport position.

In that case, you should write to the MSFS 2024 forum about this modification.

I suppose, you should write to Asobo for it.. more users complain, the more can get listened. :smiling_face:

I mean, simfly and msfs are aligned. Is the real life that’s not..
