So before the adjustment CAT5 paid around -27%. Now is around -6%. LVL1 vs LVL1.
I was seriously considering getting a CAT5 and had started accumulating PAX for it. It is just not worth it. Not at the current cost.
Justification as slots quantity? Not really, you can get more slots with CAT4s with the same amount of PAX.
With the cost of a CAT5 airport that I would get 200 slots, I could get 330 SLOTS in CAT4 airports for 624 PAX less. And the CAT4 pays more and people would fly more due to multiple bonus, not to mention that they are way easier to upgrade.
Wow, a Category 4 airport is still more valuable to land at than a Category 5, even though the Category 5 has a higher value and pays less. This honestly takes away some motivation to keep flying to Category 5 airports.
I estimate it will take around 3 weeks to upgrade EDDF to Level 2.

I’m very excited to see how pilot income improves once a CAT 5 airport is upgraded.
