PACV Cordova: flying between Alaska’s mountains, forests and coastline

Merle K. (Mudhole) Smith Airport, PACV / CDV, offers a remote operation in one of Alaska’s most distinctive environments.

Its primary Runway 09/27 measures 7,500 × 150 ft and supports both visual and instrument operations, including an ILS/DME approach to Runway 27. The airport also has the secondary gravel Runway 16/34, measuring 1,934 × 30 ft. FAA information warns pilots about erratic winds, moose and birds on or near the airport.

Pilots receive 60% of the profit from every eligible flight.

Check the wind, watch for wildlife and prepare for a true Alaskan arrival.
