Hello Pilots & Captains,
Plaease help me answer thoses questions :
What is « Total PAX Tokens Earned » exactly, and how to deduct passive pax incomes ?
After 200 flights and owning assets for about 1 month, I tried to find out the passive revenue from my assets (airports & rented aircrafts), so I tought i could use the « Total PAX Tokens Earned » and then deducting the Pax earned from my flight & purchased PAX token from usermarketplace.
I follow up closely the Pax earned from my flight, from the logbook copied to a XLSx file.
So I tought that would be easy, but no.
I then downloaded the CSV from the PAX ledgers (From 31 Dec 2025), and sorted out the 1350 lines, compiled into those data :
So with this long way, I find out my passive incomes, but that’s not the easy way to do regurlarly.
I beleive my ledgers sorting, summarizing and calculations are correct as Earned & Spend+balance are matching (1940.3). Also the SUM of Pax from my flight (from logbook) matching the details per type of assets (own flights only - 1037.05)
Then the questions remain, if my Total earned is about 1940,30Pax, why does the logbook displays 2092.65Pax as « Total PAX Tokens Earned » ? where the missing 152.35Pax come from ?
I guess understanding that would help me/us to easily deduct the passive income.
Thanks for any answer that may help to clarify that.
I’m not an expert in finance, but when you use the term “passive” you should refer to every income except flying hours, flying i suppose is not passive. Passive income comes for example from a rented property, dividends or leasing, and not from a “job” that could be related to flying for example, so why looking at the logbook.
But for sure some more comments from experts will for sure give you the correct answer or tell you how to interpret your incomes.
On the other hand, it’s interesting that there are people that is trying to make earnings generated with minimal ongoing effort, coming from assets or systems you set up. Of course 100% correct and absolutely legal,
.. but I didn’t expect so much “effort” to it.. simfly is really “growing”..
Yes, What I mean by “passive income” is the Pax earned from other pilots flying, using my aircraft rented or landing/TO on my airports.
Hi Benoit0211,
in the “Total PAX Tokens Earned” value currently shown in the logbook, the following are also included:
-
PAX Tokens purchased via the User Marketplace
-
PAX Tokens redistributed, for example due to system-initiated cancellation of some missions
As a result, this total does not represent exclusively the PAX effectively generated by:
-
flights performed
-
owned assets
In the past, I don’t recall exactly who from the community, but a similar request had already been raised:
namely, to display in the logbook a total that includes only the PAX actually generated by flights and assets, excluding purchases, redistributions, or other non-operational entries.
We have already taken this request into consideration.
It is not a simple or immediate change, but it is planned, and we will work on it after the launch of the Airport User Marketplace.
I hope this clarifies the point.

Hi Karim,
Thank you for your reply.
So it seems the “PAX Tokens redistributed…cancellation of some missions**” must be the explanations for the 152.35 PAX difference between the “Total PAX Tokens Earned” and what I really earned myself + passive earned from assets +purchased.
But I still have no clue what it is exactly, as 150 is quite huge for “PAX Tokens redistributed…”, and it doesn’t appear nowhere in the Pax Wallet or Pax ledger, so it’s difficult to understand it or to find out the real amount.
Then I guess it was me who requested trough the AMA-Q/A to remove the PAX Purchased in the “Total PAX tokens earned”, i didn’t know about those PAX Tokens redistributed, i would have asked to remove it also BTW.
On top of that (not urgent at all) I think it would be even better to have 2 separated sub-total for flight performed ourself (simply the total PAX in the flight’s logbook - 1037.5 in my case above), and for PAX profits made from passive incomes from assets ( 101,51 in my case above)
Displaying publicly in pilots logbooks page the PAX profits made from passive incomes from assets, could help newcomers to see the interest to own assets to get more PAX even without flying, and so to motivate them to invest in assets.
Thanks.

Greetings. That Excel spreadsheet is interesting! I remember that quite some time ago, SimFly awarded me around 100 PAX for distribution. And for some flights with errors in closing missions, I was compensated with an amount close to the flight’s value. I’m sure that’s where the difference in the totals comes from.

Hello,
I found out the missing 152PAX in my spreadshit, but included in « Total PAX Tokens Earned »,
it’s the Pax redistributed to pilots with the 60% split on aircraft rental and airport.
My calculation in the summary were additionning the 100% earned and the minus the 60% of redistribution, giving me the real amount I earned from passive revenues, but then my total was not matching the values diplayed in the logbook.
40% for me : 101.5,
60% for pilots : 152.3 (that the amount that was missing)
