Your comment reminds us all how important is the simflycommunity. Every user can contribute to enhance the simfly experience. Although your information is correct, ICAO has in fact changed, but for example, MSFS and most important, simbrief database, are not yet updated. If you try to make a flight plan using UZTT, it won’t go through. Also if you use UTZZ in the default msfs database, you won’t find the airport. Maybe there’s a scenery mod, but this would obly everyone to use it. Simfly cannot update the ICAO yet , but when at least simbrief would update its database, then Simfly can think about updating it.
Hello Antonio, that’s not correct this time. Yesterday I’ve flown to UZTT with FS2020. The sim handles both ICAO (the old and the new one) and Navigraph/Simbrief accepts the new one too.
PS. The old one was UTTT not UTZZ, this why you don’t find it.
I have msfs2020 and Simbrief with no subscription (users are not obliged to buy a subscription in order to fly).. and this is what I get. I can find UTTT but if i digit UZTT, the new one, it doesn’t show anything.
And that’s what I wrote. If I subscribe paying, I can for sure use the new update and perhaps it will update also msfs2020 airport database icao.. but why should I pay for it. On the other hand who has the subscription like some users can use both. So the scenario is that at the moment if simfly keeps things as they are, all users can fly to that airport, if simfly changes to the new icao, only some users can fly to it.
