Weekly cycle during Milestone Events

Good afternoon to all SimFlyers,

First of all, I’d like to thank SimFly for organizing an event at my airport, EGPB. I’ve had a few days with quite a lot of traffic, which is something I rarely experience, and that’s been great. Thank you.

However, I wanted to ask whether the idea is to keep the weekly cycle for these events. In my case, it only allows me 19 movements, which significantly limits the possibility for the airport owner to gain any additional benefit. Since it’s a non-recurring event and only for Premium users, this limits things even further. I believe it would be a good idea to allow the removal of the weekly cycle during the days an event is active.

On the other hand, once the 19 movements were used up, I noticed that I continued to receive visits. All of these resulted in 0 PAX and 0 XP, which is understandable. However, the progress bar for upgrading and developing the airport also doesn’t increase with these visits. Even though it reflects XP, I find it quite limiting to be restricted to just the 19 “regular” movements. At the very least, the progress bar could take traffic into account and allow for increased upgrade opportunities.

Therefore, my proposal would be to modify the current rule during the Milestone Flights, allowing more flexibility in the earnings that can be received. Specifically, one possible approach could be the following:

To begin with, double the weekly cycle during an event. In addition, if you have an airport where your visit rate is very low, multiply the weekly cycle by a coefficient related to the visit ratio. This way, the less‑visited airports would obtain slightly higher benefits, but in all cases starting from a weekly cycle x2.

Also, if the airport owner is Premium, offer the possibility for all visits to be counted up to a multiplier of x5. This could be a cap in case unlimited scaling is not feasible.

The current rule is a shame because I suppose the next time I might get an event at EGPB (if I do) it will be years from now… Still, thank you for choosing this magnificent airport in the north of Scotland.
