The goal of this post is for everyone to share their favorite airplane or helicopter in the world of flight simulation.
Tell us which aircraft you love, which simulator you fly it in, and—most importantly—why it’s your favorite. Is it the realism, the history, the design, or simply the fun of flying it?
This way, we can all discover new aircraft we might not have known about and enjoy our shared passion even more.

Alright, I’ll start.
My favorite aircraft is the Piper PA-24-250 Comanche by A2A Simulations, available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
Without a doubt, this is the highest-quality aircraft I’ve flown so far. It not only offers a truly enjoyable flying experience but also presents a serious challenge. At first glance, it may seem like a simple plane—but in reality, it hides a surprising level of complexity. Every action (or inaction) you take has real consequences that will affect your next flight.
The Comanche simulates nearly 100% of the aircraft’s systems, so any oversight—like ignoring temperature limits, mismanaging the engine, or overusing the battery—can lead to failures or even ground the aircraft entirely. It adds an extra layer of realism that makes every flight feel meaningful and immersive.
On top of that, the aircraft remembers its exact state from your last flight. If you left the battery on, you’ll find it drained. If you forgot to refuel, you’ll start with whatever was left in the tanks. You’ll also need to check oil levels and prepare properly before every flight—because no one else is going to do it for you.
If you’re into general aviation and enjoy deep, realistic simulation, this aircraft is an absolute must-try.

Or in the official MSFS Marketplace for slightly more.
