Pulau Tioman Airport, WMBT / TOD, is open for pilots looking for a distinctive tropical operation.
Because of the surrounding terrain, the airport uses one-way runway procedures: landings on Runway 20 and departures from Runway 02. The AIP also identifies high trees, elevated terrain and limited radio coverage east of the island. Any anticipated missed approach should be reported early and conducted at sufficient altitude. First-time pilots should complete prior familiarization with a qualified flight instructor.
