Pilots are welcome to continue using the Airport Information Board to provide information about their airports however the map will not be updated.
The addition of the User Marketplace - Airports section marks a huge milestone for the SimFly platform. Unfortunately, it means I can no longer devote the time necessary to keep the map up to date with frequent changes to airport ownership, pilot payout percentage, etc.
Did you use the information provided by the Airport Information Board map? If so, replying to this thread might help the team determine which features warrant inclusion in the official map.
For example…
I used the Airport Information Board map for planning flights between specific player’s airports as it helped me determine where the airports are located and whether they were within my aircraft’s range.
Thank you for your creativity & all of effort you’ve put into this airport information topic. I always enjoy reading when people update their airport info here.
It’s a waste of time you’re spending on this initiative. There are tons of online maps and apps that provide the same detailed information. The most important link for airport information and flight radar is https://ourairports.com/, and if you want to do a more specific search for smaller airports and other destinations, the most popular and best, in my opinion. It won’t have the same photos you post, those beautiful, colorful graphics, but it still provides a lot of information.
Perhaps it’s a waste to you. The site you linked does not show who within the SimFly community owns an airport. For many of us this is important information when we plan flights.
